It Takes A Village Okotoks Community Foundation is a registered non-profit serving families in the Foothills area of Alberta. Founded by local parents who recognized a need in the community, ITAV provides free essential baby items during a child’s first year — helping families feel supported, safe, and cared for.
Parenting can be beautiful, but it can also be overwhelming — especially when you’re worried about having the essentials your baby needs. Many families feel stretched thin, making difficult choices just to provide the basics. The worry, stress, and uncertainty can make the early months feel isolating.
At ITAV, we believe no parent should have to face this journey alone. Every family deserves a village to lean on — a network of support that brings comfort, hope, and practical help.

Through compassion, understanding, and practical support, we meet families where they are and ensure they have the resources, items, and confidence to give their baby a safe, healthy start.
